Questions

Everything you need to know.

Yes. Browse all trails and use our web platform — completely free. Pro ($29.99/year) unlocks premium trail guides, GPX downloads, and advanced planning tools.
No. Sign up with any email, Google, or Apple account. Most Chinese platforms require a local phone number. We don't.
You can save trail pages for offline viewing in your browser. Pro members get downloadable GPX files and printable topo maps.
China legally requires all maps to use the GCJ-02 coordinate system, which shifts GPS positions by up to 500m from standard WGS-84. AllTrails uses WGS-84 — so their pins are in the wrong place. ChinaTrails uses GCJ-02 compliant maps that are accurate.
Yes. These regions use standard WGS-84 GPS. ChinaTrails detects your location and applies the correct coordinate system automatically.
AllTrails has almost no China data, and the maps that do exist are offset by hundreds of meters due to the coordinate system issue. ChinaTrails is built specifically for China — accurate maps, bilingual data, and China-specific features like the taxi address copy.
We're launching with major hiking regions: Beijing, Yunnan, Sichuan, Hunan, and Guangdong. More trails are added continuously through community contributions.
